
Ed Spoons is a founding member of Ghetlow Pirates Breaking Crew and has been competing both nationally and internationally since 2007, winning competitions including Mighty4 UK, UK Bboy Championships Regional Conflict North,Battle of Britain North and he was the most recent Juste Debout UK Toprock Champion.
He has also created three touring HipHop Theatre shows with long time collaborator John Berkavitch performing at venues such as Sadler’s Wells, BAC, The Roundhouse, Curve Leicester, Midlands Arts Centre and Nottingham Playhouse as well as at international festivals in Spain and Brazil.
As a facilitator and project manager he has run dance projects many arts organisations such as Actor’s Workshop (Halifax), Hoxton Hall and the Rose Bowl (Islington). In 2017 he was lead dance artist for the Roundhouse’s On Mass project in Mumbai working with India’s top Bboys and from 2009 - 2014 he also taught East London Dance’s Boys dance group ‘The Firm ‘ teaching many of the brightest stars of London’s current generation of breakers.
